OEM and private label

From a product on the wall to a locked private-label spec

Usually available: color change, logo, color-box language and carton marks. New molds, electronics and licensed characters need a separate review. The quote states the route for the selected SKU.

How OEM and private label actually run

We start from a product you can hold or photograph, not from a slogan. Color, logo and packing are confirmed on that SKU. If a change needs a new mold, electronics work or a licensed character, it is flagged before you spend sample money.

The first reply names the route: ready product with a color change, logo on an existing tool, a private-label color box, or a longer development path. Repeat orders use the locked specification, not a new conversation from zero.

OEM service path

Each step has an input and an output. Artwork is not started until the product and pack format are agreed.

01

1 business day

Feasibility

You send a reference, market, quantity, pack idea and logo files if you have them. You get which route applies: color, logo, box language, or extra review.

02

3–20 working days

Sample

Stock sample 3–7 days. Color or packaging sample 7–12. New development 12–20. You receive a physical sample and a written change list.

03

After sample approval

Artwork lock

Vector or PDF logo, warnings, barcode and language go on the box and carton marks. Production does not start on an open artwork file.

04

15–40 days

Bulk production

Ready path typically 15–30 days after approval. Custom path 25–40 days. Incoming, in-line and pre-shipment checks follow the locked spec.

05

Faster than round one

Repeat order

Same specification, next quantity. Color, logo method and box language stay on file so the second season does not restart sampling.

What we usually customize

The quote states which of these apply to the selected SKU. Typical working ranges are a starting point, confirmed per project.

Color change

Typically 500–1,000 pcs per color, after sample approval.

Logo application

Pad print, sticker, hangtag or woven label, confirmed against the product surface.

Color box and language

Typically from 1,000 pcs per color, including warnings and barcode.

Carton marks

Shipping marks, item codes and packing data for the destination.

Accessory combination

Fewer or extra parts when the mold and case pack allow it.

Pack format

Window box, color box, blister or display box, discussed against cost and shelf need.

What needs extra review

These are not refused by default. They are not promised in the first reply either.

New mold

Tooling, sample rounds and a longer development calendar.

Electronics

Lights, sound, radio or battery changes need a separate feasibility check.

Licensed characters

Only with the buyer’s IP authorization on file.

Lower age grade

Construction, small parts and testing must support the claim.

Development timing

Ranges are a starting point. The quotation states the applicable SKU conditions.

Minimum OEM brief

A complete brief gets a first reply in one business day. Missing files delay artwork, not the first range discussion.

  • Product reference, photo or SKU
  • Target age and play setting
  • Quantity and target cost
  • Logo files, preferably vector or PDF artwork
  • Packaging format, target market, required documents and launch window

Questions buyers ask before they enquire

Do I need a finished logo to get a quote?

No. A sketch or reference is enough for the first range and cost direction. Vector files are needed before packaging artwork.

Can every outdoor toy take a logo?

No. Some surfaces, fabrics and safety parts are not printable. We confirm the method on the selected SKU.

Are water toys sold as flotation products?

No. Water-play products are not life-saving equipment.
